Sougwen Chung
Artist Bio

Sougwen Chung is a Chinese/Canadian artist who creates art with AI robots. Her works includes drawings, sculptures, and performance art. She has a degree in Fine Arts from Indiana University and a masters diploma in interactive art from Hyper Island. She was a research fellow at MIT's media lab where she learned to combine art and technology. She is the founder and artistic director of Scilicet which is a studio that explores " human and non-human collaboration" in London. Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in many publications, she also speaks at international conferences. She has won many awards such as the Lumen prize for art in technology and the excellence award for drawing operations from the Japan media arts. She also does AI assisted painting performance in front of a live audience on stage and in a gallery.
